  • Ease: These cookies are sweet, fruity and satisfying without being overly complicated to make.
  • The Perfect Dessert: Great addition to any brunch or party table, served with coffee, tea or a cold glass of milk.

What You Need To Make These Cookies

  • Flour: A good all purpose flour works great for this cookie.
  • Butter: I always opt for an unsalted butter. In doing this you can control the salt content in your recipe. It is important to have room temperature butter. Leaving the butter on the counter for several hours before incorporating it into your recipe will allow it to soften and come to room temperature.
  • Sugar: Using granulated sugar will not only add sweetness, it will also add texture.
  • Ground Cinnamon: For added warmth.
  • Baking Powder & Baking Soda: These are your leavening agents which will give rise to your cookies.
  • Salt: A small amount of salt added to sweet recipes will help enhance the flavors in that recipe.
  • Egg: This will add structure and richness to your cookies.
  • Vanilla Extract: I always opt for pure vanilla extract due to its intense vanilla flavor.
  • Freeze Dried Strawberries: This will add intense strawberry flavor without excess moisture.
  • White Chocolate Chips: This will add concentrated pockets of rich, sweet creamy flavor.

Tips For Making These Cookies:

  • Room Temperature Butter: It is important to bring the butter to room temperature so that it blends with the other ingredients smoothly. You can do this by just placing the butter on the counter for several hours before you need it.
  • Crumble Topping: I like to prepare my crumble topping first and store it in the fridge until Im ready for it.
  • Consistent Size Cookies: The best way to get your cookies to be consistent in size is to use a cookie scoop when scooping out your cookies dough.
  • Swirling Your Cookies: Swirling your cookies with a round cookie cutter immediately after they come out of the oven will give them the perfect round smooth shape.
