No need to buy Granola when it’s this easy to make. Oats, almonds and coconut brought together in crunchy clusters with the flavors of cinnamon and maple. The perfect way to start your day.
Eggs and toast are a great way to start the day but every now and again I want something a little lighter. Something with a bit of crunch. Luckily, I always keep a jar of homemade granola on the counter. A small bowl is enough to give me the energy I need to get me through the morning. But that is not the only time I love a little granola. It’s great sprinkled on yogurt as a mid morning snack or just on its own as an afternoon pick me up. With the perfect amount of sweetness to satisfy anyone’s cravings.

Tips For Making Granola
- Liquid Ingredients: The best way to prepare your liquid ingredients is to place them in a saucepan over medium heat. Just place the maple syrup, coconut oil and sugar together in a saucepan and cook until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla and almond extract.
- Baking: When baking the granola, it is important to rotate your baking pan so that the granola cooks evenly. When the granola is baking, do not mix it. This will allow the granola to stick together and form clusters. After the granola is done and has cooled, your can break it up into chunks.
- How To Store Your Granola: Once your granola has completely cooled, place it in an air tight container for up to two weeks.

What You Need To Make Simple Granola
Equipment:
- Mixing Bowls: An extra large mixing bowl will allow you to mix your ingredients easily.
- Baking Sheet: I like to use a large aluminum baking sheet. Aluminum is a great heat conductor which will allow the granola to bake evenly
- Parchment Paper: It is best to line your baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent sticking and allow for an easy clean up.
Ingredients:
- Oats: You will want to use Old Fashion Oats for this recipe
- Almond Flour: This will help create those crunchy clusters and add a bit of nutty flavor.
- Almonds: Unsalted and chopped into small pieces.
- Shredded Coconut: Unsweetened.
- Ground Cinnamon: For added warmth.
- Salt: This will help enhance the flavors.
- Sugar: This recipe calls for Dark Brown Sugar
- Oil: Coconut Oil for added coconut flavor.
- Maple Syrup: An all natural syrup is best.
- Vanilla Extract: I always opt for a Pure Vanilla Extract due to its intense vanilla flavor.
- Almond Extract: For added almond flavor.
